Walnut Tree Cottage is very well equipped with all the additional extras that make all the difference to you on your holiday. You can rest assured that all of the rooms have the extra touches that make the cottage feel just like home from home.  Our visitors are often commenting upon how spacious the cottage is so you can be rest assured that you can spread out and relax...

                                  

The recently refurbished Lounge, as with the rest of the cottage, is also beautifully decorated and has two sofas (one a sofa-bed). Reading and table lamps add additional atmosphere to the room together with the gas fired 'wood burner' which gives off a lovely, cosy heat. There is a selection of books, videos, CDs, DVDs, games and jigsaw puzzles to pass away time in the evenings or on those rainy days!  Free Wi-Fi is also available.

The cottage is lovely and cosy being centrally heated and double glazed throughout.  The accommodation comprises:

Ground Floor: Entrance Hall; Dining Room ; Kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, electric oven with 4 ring electric hob, fridge with top freezer box, i-pod docking station radio, filter coffee machine with milk frother; Bathroom with Shower over bath. There is access to a Fridge/Freezer if required.      

                                                             

First Floor : Lounge with Gas fired 'wood burner', TV with Sky Free Sat, Video and DVD,  CD/FM radio stereo hi-fi, 2 Sofas (one is a Sofa Bed); Double Bedroom (with a high quality Sealey matress on the bed) with radio alarm, hairdryer, chest of drawers and wardrobe.

We have a comprehensice Baby and Toddler Pack that is available free of charge.  This includes a wooden cot or a travel cot - whichever you prefer, a stair gate, high chair, baby bath, electric bottle steriliser and changing mat.  Also in the pack are boxes of building bricks, books, a play mat and other toys for your baby or toddler(please let us know if you require the use of these items).  Hopefully this will free up some valuable space in your boot!

There is off-road parking to the front of the Cottage for one vehicle and secure storage for bikes should you wish to bring them with you.

                                           

The spacious Dining Room has a table and chairs that comfortably seats four people, a cabinet stocked full of local tourist information, Ordnance Survey maps, books, magazines and our very detailed 'Useful Information' folder which includes all the information that you really need - such as the location of cash points, petrol stations, food stores and most importantly local, recommended pubs and restaurants! We never include any establishment that we would not use ourselves! Also in the Dining Room are two Parker Knoll easy chairs and a coffee table so that you can sit and relax with a glass of wine or cup of tea.                                    

                                            

The Double Bedroom is furnished with fresh, co-ordinating bed linen and there are bedside tables each side of the bed with lamps. There is also a radio alarm, wardrobe, chest of drawers and storage chest. If you require anti-allergy pillows etc, these can be provided, without any additional charge. Hot water bottles, a hair dryer and torches are the final little touches!

                                                                     

So many of our past visitors have gone home saying that the cottage décor has inspired then to redecorate when they get home - so we are thrilled that paying attention to detail has proved popular with our guests!

A short drive away are the famous Black and White villages, several National Trust Properties, Hay-on-Wye, Ludlow, local cider producers, Golf courses and the Cathedral city of Hereford with its Mappa Mundi Exhibition. Just 1½ miles away is the market town of Leominster with plenty of shops, pubs, restaurants, banks, etc. Audio Tours of the local areas on CD and tape are available for your car.

                                  

The Cottage has an enclosed garden with patio area, tables and chairs with a barbecue for use on those lovely summer evenings.

There is private off-road parking at the cottage.

There are some excellent pubs and restaurants in the surrounding districts, including those at Ludlow - an established 'foodie' haven - just 15 minutes away.

Pets are very welcome and there is no additional charge for bringing your pets.

Asda and Tesco deliver Home Shopping to the cottage so why not save precious holiday time and pre-order your grocery to arrive after you have settled in!
